This project took much longer than the 6 hours I had set aside so it isn’t currently playable. The videos might be too long and move too slowly for more experienced users of unity but it is still and excellent series if you want to create a twin-stick shooter. Having never made a game to be completely playable with keyboard or controller I had to find a tutorial so I could learn how to do it. I did this to eliminate the need to create a number of different coloured shapes and import them all into unity.Ĭhanging the colours of white sprites in unity is simpleĪfter I had made the sprites I just had to code the game. I made a white triangle, circle and square in an external program and then in unity changed the colour. To achieve this I created easily identifiable shapes with simple single colours.

My plan was to create a 2D top-down, twin-stick shooter, that could be played with a keyboard or controller and a focus on assessability. The restrictions set were, shooting and moving must be controlled independently and the player had something to shoot at.
